Welcome to New Tech Institute

Important information for our students and families regarding COVID-19:
School is out March 16-20 for Coronavirus precautions, and we will operate with Virtual Learning.
During that time be sure to check ECHO daily for assignments in each class.
EVEN Virtual Days: March 16, 18, 20
ODD Virtual Days: March 17, 19

Assignments are due April 6-9, but please make sure you are completing assignments.
Also, check ECHO for missing work – now would be a GREAT time to get caught up!
EVSC is offering free grab and go meals to all students 18 and under – if you need it, please see list on our social media pages.
If you need anything during the week, please email your teacher or Mr. Gibson at [email protected] or call (812) 435-8805.
Also, please check social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) for information.
March 23-27 is Spring Break…no virtual work will be assigned.
School will be closed March 30 – April 10th, and we will not use Virtual Learning days during that span.
Our current projected return date is April 13th – which is subject to change.
Stay healthy, stay calm, and we will make it through this together!

EVSC New Tech Institute High School is a full-day high school that opened in 2010 as an Innovative Model High School in the EVSC. We are a member of the nationwide New Tech Network, and our mission is to: "Provide relevant project-based learning and leadership in an atmosphere of trust, respect, and responsibility." We champion project-based learning, STEM, and 21st Century Skills such as Knowledge and Thinking, Written Communication, Oral Communication, Collaboration, and Agency. We are a small, close-knit family-like atmosphere where students can learn in a collaborative and caring environment.

In 2016 the Indiana Department of Education named New Tech Institute HS a STEM Certified School (2016 - 2021). Also, we were a Demonstration Site and Exemplary School in the New Tech Network for three consecutive years. In 2019, Battelle For Kids and Partnerships for 21st Century Learning (P21) designated New Tech Institute as one of eighteen P21 Learning Exemplars in the nation. Our FIRST Robotics Team won the 2020 Bloomington Regional competition, our Archery Team regularly competes at State and National levels, and in 2019 junior Mackenzie Hunt placed 4th in the world in Engineering at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.
